Sometimes I like to sit in a daze and sometimes I just can’t pick myself up off the floor
But I’m sober
My higher calling
Caught in a maze
Running through my head
I picture myself
Sober and fully dressed
Talk me out of it
Clothes falling
Disrobed of all my sins
Engulfed in my scent
Your intoxicated
But I’m sober
And now you’re calling ...
You told me that there is more than meets the eye
And if your love aides me to touch the sky, then, oh my
Tempted to touch but I’d never let you get close enough
Cause I’m sober
Don't let me fall please

As I release this energy
Speak to me
In another dimension
I see you in it
Be with me
On this frequency
If it’s meant to be
Mentally
I’m sober
I’d like to know that there was a part of you that could have loved me better
There are parts of me that your dying to see
But you only see what I choose to show
But I won't show it
Speak to me
On the other side
A higher calling or an outer body
Because you bring out another side of me
Aside I have to humble myself to being
I'm becoming, forthcoming
Higher calling, you’ll pick up where he left off and we’ll finish this thing
Take off
Until we get the best of versions of ourselves
Whatever life brings
You’ll fill the gaps of my broken pieces as if your hands were made to mold and shape me
And with my hands I’ll chip away the burden that lies on your back
And pity those who didn't see you as a king
We’ll then become one and see what the future holds
We hit the ceiling with this one
There’s nothing else like this one
And when the stars align we’ll be in our right minds
Full of bliss
We’ll cherish each night
With this one life to live
My higher calling
Whoever you are
Say a prayer for me tonight that we’ll go far
Nothing will grow if you’re afraid of the dark
Just have enough spark to light this candlestick
I’m calling...
